Motor Vehicle Collision -West 26th. & Zuck Road-

A multi vehicle collision at the intersection of West 26th & Zuck Rd leaves one motorist trapped in his rolled over vehicle during a busy lunch hour time.  

Firefighters were required to immediately stabilize the vehicle using our rescue struts.  Once stabilized they were able to assess the patient for injuries.  Finding no immediately life threatening injuries, and a patient who was ambulatory it was determined that the easiest extrication method was to remove the windshield and assist the patient in self extrication.  After he successfully exited the vehicle his care was transferred to Millcreek Paramedic Service.  Following this, department personnel assisted the wrecker service with debris removal. West Ridge Fire Police remained on-scene assisting the MPD with traffic control for some time.
